Contrary to public belief, only raccoons, chimney swifts and bats can extricate themselves from a chimney flue. A proper chimney cap can add years to the life of your chimney by preventing animals from entering and deflecting the damaging rains which crack the concrete crown.
To help maintain the integrity of your chimney and prevent damage from outside sources, Apex installs galvanized and stainless steel chimney caps. The cap is fitted to your flue dimension and can be installed with or without a hood (the part that will aid in deflecting the rain). The galvanized chimney cap has legs that fit down securely into the flue. We can also wire down the cap if an animal is likely to try to re-enter. The stainless steel caps are secured with concrete screws and adhesive if needed. Both caps can be customized to fit various size flues and multiple flues and both come with a lifetime warranty against rust or corrosion.
